Suffolk Conservatory

The second commission from this client (see Suffolk Music Room) the conservatory was to fulfil several objectives; to provide additional dining space next to the kitchen, to improve the link between the living room and kitchen which otherwise are connected by a tortuous corridor, and to create a bright but sheltered space between the house and glorious garden.

The planners initially favoured a simple lean-to solution but were persuaded to accept this double pitch roof design with higher and more interesting internal space with a quality that is appropriate to the original Grade II listed house.
