Children’s Hospice, Barnet

Planning consent was obtained for the provision of a new hospice for life-limited children and their families plus an environmental centre, all located on a site within a nature reserve in the Green Belt.

The scheme provided 6 children’s bedrooms, accommodation for families, daycare facilities and administrative offices. Natural timber cladding, green roofs, natural ventilation, enhanced U-values, air source heat pumps, solar hot water panels and photovoltaics all contributed towards the provision of a sustainable energy efficient building.
